I was a 7# 14oz high forcep delivery to a 5'1" tall primip after a 4 hour labor. I was born at 1:25 pm. Afternoon office hours started at 1:30pm. (*This* much my mom remembers.... She doesn't really like to talk about stuff like this, but says she remembers the doctor saying he needed to get to the office). My aunt was a labor nurse at the hospital, and cried when she saw me. Doubted that I'd ever learn to sit up, said my head looked like a squashed banana, and forcep marks all over my face.

My dad, during all this, was sent out to fix strawberries with my grandmother. All my birthday cakes have strawberries...in honor of that day in June.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
