Re: Birth circumstance PollFrom: William D. McIntosh, MD (wdmcintoshmd@pol.net)Mon May 4 12:33:32 1998
41 week gestation to a mother that had just received word that my father was being evacuated from his aircraft carrier in the South China Sea (Vietnam era)and was not expected to survive. Spontaneous labor, vaginal delivery, inhalant anesthesia, Navy Captain (like having the Dean do your delivery)in attendance, 8#2oz. Did not receive any further word on my father for 6 days, good news fortunately. She was 600 miles from her family, and did not know a soul on base.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
