This man needs to be seen by an andrologist (specialist in male fertility). The oligospermia could be due to a number of causes which need to be evaluated by someone skilled in this area. If he has a treatable lesion, his count may improve. If not, IUI is not unreasonable to try, but IVF would be their best option for pregnancy.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
