Low sperm countFrom: Tim and Jude Kurokawa (jkuro@midrivers.com)Wed Apr 29 09:47:34 1998
I have a couple who is trying to conceive. They have had unprotected IC for 6 years. Did a sperm analysis and found all variables normal except count was only 5 million. I understand he needs to have another 1 or 2 sperm counts in order to confirm oligospermia. He wears boxers, non-smoker, very healthy, has never fathered a child. She has regular cycles, is ovulating according to BBT, has one child who is 8 yrs old from previous relationship. We live in a very isolated area, and I would like to do anything (simple) I can do here, and gather all information they might need before referring them to more advanced provider. My collaborating physician is also hoping to get some info in this area. Can anyone give me some advice? Are there any good sites on the internet? Thanks in advance. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
