Why are you doing the endometrial biopsy? If it is for irregular menses, and it is to rule out endometrial ca, then I would get a vaginal US for endometrial thickness first and then consider removing the IUD to see if it is not the source of the problem. When you hear the sound of galloping hooves, look for horses not zebras.
