Agreed. But this was about 25 years ago. The interesting thing is that I followed the patient "conservatively." Incidently, the fistula was pin point. After about 10 years it closed. I'm still taking care of the patient. But surgery should have done the trick. >>

This wasn't a Crohn's patient by any chance was it? Normally aggressive surgeons are often (appropriately) converted to conservative medical managers in the face of same.
