Re: Circs - Peds or OB? (no politics please...)From: R. Daniel Braun, M.D. (rbraun@iunet.iupui.edu)Wed Apr 1 14:05:25 1998
Check out Gee and Ansell Pediatrics 1976; 58:824-827 5882 circs over 10 years 48% by Gomco & 52% by Plastibell. No dif in hemorrhage, dehiscence or glans injury. Infection 0.14% in Gomco and 0.72% in Plastibell RR 5.27 95% C.I. 1.2-6.1 RR and 95% C.I. my calculations based on their data. Therefore slightly higher infection rate with Plastibell. but still less than 1% Dan -----Original Message----- From: Calvin J. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
