Re: Large vaginal condyloma in pregnancyFrom: ENDODOK (ENDODOK@aol.com)Tue Mar 31 17:06:32 1998
And what is your response if the fetus develops severe condyloma of the vocal cords?? I have seen a patient whose child lost his voice because of the repeated laser surgery to the cords to control the condyloma, the mother having a vaginal delivery with extensive vaginal condyloma. I concur with treatment now, either excision or skilled laser vaporization. If it were my wife and condys not treated, I would consider section. Dan's point re: trauma and hemorrhage are important issue as well. J.Glenn Bradley MD

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
