I don't think to remove it makes a difference in this pregnant patient, according to Ferency A. MD in a symposium about genital warts in the Contemporary OB/GYN novembre/1997; he doesn't recommend treatment during pregnancy; because half the time the woman's warts will disappear spontaneously postpartum without treatment; and the lesions we treat today may recurr 2 weeks later in pregnancy, so in this case, a single condyloma is not worrysome...And I don't think that anyone would consider a C-section ONLY for the presence of genital warts, only if those are so large that obstruct labor or epysio...

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
