In this area and where I trained the Ob Gyn did the circs.
Here, abnormal situations and serious complications are managed by a
Ped. Urologist. Both the Ped and the Ob can deciede if the circ.
should be done, deferred or referred to the Urologist. This seems to
work out well. However, I do not know why the Ob does the circ. when
the baby, once born, is under the care of the Ped.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
