In my first practice in Philly, we did the circs immediately (and I mean *immediately*) after delivery in term, healthy looking babies. Here in Tahoe the peds (read family docs 75% of the time) do the circs . I have seen no difference in complication rates; afterall, how hard is a circ???? And I for one absolutely do not miss doing them -- the peds are welcome to whatever palty sum they get for the circs.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
