I have a similar woman under my care currently. She had her neurosurgery in Canada and is now in UK. I suggested to her that previously treated aneurysms carry no real risk in labour and neither elective CS elective forceps were mandated - she looked at me in horror as if I was mad! There are various neuro and opthalmic conditiosn which traditionally have meant elective CS, withg little or no basis. Couple of years ago I had a successful VBAC in a woman whose prior CS was for PH of retinal detachment. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
