AV Malformations in PregnancyFrom: Mary Shuman, MD (Mary211@aol.com)Tue Mar 17 20:24:37 1998
I have a 22 yr old G1 @ 11wks with a history of congenital AV malformation with a h/o stroke at age 7, with minimal left side weakness. Pt had 3 aneurysms repaired at age 17 with the AV malformation "clipped". Pt had a repeat MRI two years ago with no further problems. I am interested in any suggestions as far as treatment and care during her prenatal care and labor and any article references about AV malformations in pregnancy. Any input appreciated, thanks. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
