Appointment made for IVP, patient did not show up and at next visit to primary MD was pregnant, thus referred to us. Microscopic hematuria seen at each prenatal visit. During 2nd trimester, she complained of groin and bilateral upper thigh pain, thought secondary to pregnancy. To make a long story short, she had metastatic bone lesions with a renal mass, although it never got biopsied. No other primary tumor found. She and her fetus did not do well. No post obtained. So I'd say keep doing those workups. Jane

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
