Re: GYN Fibroid Reduction and MorcellationFrom: ENDODOK (ENDODOK@aol.com)Sat Feb 28 17:13:25 1998
Use a 10-12mm trocar for the Everest tripolar instrument for Cauterization/transection: Once fundus devascularized, transect Cx.stroma, freeing the fundus. Insert the "DIVA" morcellator (with the obturator in place) through the 12mm incision. No trocar/cannula necessary!!! The diameter of the instrument is 15mm ( You might have to extend the 12mm a couple of mm but often it will stretch its way through the initial 12mm without too much difficulty) J.Glenn Bradley MD

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
