Fluids filling uterine cavityFrom: Carlos Alberto Porta (caporta@interactive.com.ar)Thu Feb 26 12:21:40 1998
Hi all! It is my humble experience using fluid filling since 1981: wonderful images can be obtained filling the uterus with "Bepanten, foam" (Roche TM) which is A vitamin and 2.5 g of dex-pantenol. An IUD inserting canulae specially adapted to the spray can allows the filling procedure perfectly through a plastic speculum. The eco conductivity seems to be great. I send as attachment 2 images named submu.jpg & foam.jpg (Excuse me, but "one sight is better...") Of course, either saline or foam, the only goal followed is to avoid the iodine media for Hysterosalpingographys in alergic patients, because to my experience shown in my "Virtual Gynecologic Clinic" (http://members.tripod.com/~gineco) the best way to explore de uterine cavity is some good HSG. But... done by the own GYNECOLOGIST, the owner of the patient as the only way to see the full film. (When I go to the cinema, I want to watch the film completely. The pictures stamped in the doors are not anough). Thanks, friends. Carlos A. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
