Re: Fibroids and a Pelvic KidneyFrom: R. Daniel Braun, M.D. (rbraun@iunet.iupui.edu)Wed Feb 25 13:01:25 1998
Don't take the kidney out!!!!!!! {;<) Seriously when you get there, make sure you see where the renal artery comes from and where the vein goes. Also, the obvious, TRACE OUT THE URETER. Since you know it is there, it shouldn't really be a problem. The problem arises when you don't know its there and think it is one of the fibroids and try to remove it. Just go back to know your anatomy. In this case, trace out the abnormal anatomy before you go clamping and cutting. But then, you know that. Dan -----Original Message----- From: Geffrey H. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
