This is in no way trying to equate infibulation with circumcision, but there was a study from the University of Iowa a few years back that showed that the single most predictive factor in whether a male child was circumcised or not was his mother's belief of what appearance was more "normal" or "desirable". Are these the wounds of gender war?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
