Hello, Elliot and other OB-GYN Listers, In reply to your query about the bone densitometry scanners, I thought you might like to know that Medical Economics, OB-GYN Edition, will be running a cover story on the new peripheral bone densitometry devices in April. (That is, if its editor ever gets finished editing it.) The article will examine the machines currently available (peripheral and central) and will cover prices, reimbursement issues, etc. Also in April, our sister publication, Contemporary Obstetrics and Gynecology, will be running a parallel article on the technology of the different bone measuring devices. Since it's unlikely that we'll have our May issue printed in time for the ACOG meeting in New Orleans (I can't speak for Contemporary OBG on this), I think we'll be distributing the April issue at the booth, for any nonrecipients out there. Or just come by the booth and say hello.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
