you mean outside of giving up practice of Obstetrics??? here's a thought for ACOG - why not file amicus curiae briefs in cases of alleged malpractice, stating clearly what the standards are and are not and whether the care rendered was within those standards? this would obviate the situation in most instances and seems a reasonable solution. to quote robert kennedy, " Some look at the way things are and ask why. I look at the way things could be and ask, 'Why not?'"

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
