Re: OB Cesarean Rates in South FloridaFrom: DoctorJoe (DoctorJoe@aol.com)Wed Dec 31 08:58:22 1997
In a message dated 97-12-31 09:01:20 EST, you write: << ACtually, I don't know that I would shortchange her TOL, but it's because I have no knowledge of the research (if any) on whether a greater number of previous secitons increases the risks of a TOL. What is known about this? >> Good point. I would say that a true statement would be: There are no RCTs which prove or disprove that a TOL is safe or unsafe in 42 year old women with 5 prior c/s for CPD. THEREFORE: I guess the doc can do anything he damn well pleases, huh? Joe P.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
