Considering OB is like piloting an aircraft, 99% fun and 1% sheer terror, I look upon my antenatal job TOO reassure the patient, anyway I can. Ever notice the relief on the mother's face when she hears the FHTs?

Now, I do have another question, possibly for the grey-hairs: Do you always measure fundal height? Had a patient transfer from a small Texas town, and when I measured the fundal height she said, "Well this is the first time in six kids that anyone did that. My other OB never did."

What do y'all think of that?

Rick

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
