Allergies and EndometriosisFrom: Gordon M. Goldman, M.D. (gmgoldman@sprintmail.com)Wed Dec 10 09:20:50 1997
Listers, A patient brought in an article (presumably from a lay magazine) quoting Dr. Deborah Metzger from Yale University, stating that 75% of women with (presumably documented) endometriosis also had environmental allergies and 85% of these, had "excellent results" response to endometriosis symptoms when only the environmental allergies were treated. I was unaware of any published data with regard to this. Does anyone on the list have any information? Thanks,

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
