They really haven't gotten this carrot and stick thing well worked out yet. I've always said that if you want to influence physician behavior slowly and rationally, design a good study and publish. If you want to change physician behavior overnight, change what you pay for. Maybe a twenty percent bonus for successful VBACS?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
