Hereditary angioneurotic edema and pregnancyFrom: Bostjan Lovsin (bostjan.lovsin@guest.arnes.si)Tue Dec 9 12:43:33 1997
I have a problem: a 14-weeks-pregnant woman with hereditary angioneurotic edema and two attacks of severe abdominal pain already in this (first) pregnancy. We managed them with fresh frozen plasma, quite successfully. I have found some good articles through Medline, but still have some questions: 1. Any experience with this? 2. Where to get C1 inactivator for therapy and prophylaxys? 3. Your experience with allergic reaction to plasma? 4. Where to get tranexamic acid for therapy and prophylaxys? Thanks, bye. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
