This has been studied for the 41 week gestation. MJ Hannah from Toronto did a meta-analysis of trials looking at induction at 41 weeks versus watching with NST's and AFI's until 42 weeks. The highest cesarean rate was in the group that was observed. The increase was in those done for fetal distress because of oligo and severe cord compression. R. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
