The Technical Bulletin does not specifically mention elective induction any more. But right before the above statement it says " Induction of labor is indicated when the benefits to either the mother or fetus outweighs those of continuing the pregnancy. A risk-benefit analysis is necessary before any induction of labor" It also mentions this again in the summary.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
