In a message dated 97-11-26 05:07:00 EST, you write:
<<
In general, I have approached our corpulent gravidae in the same manner
as you, with a "sub-pannic" (?sub-pannicular) transverse incision.
>> My last patient who could be so described had edema of the dependent pannus post operatively to the extent that she began weeping fluid from the skin. This didn't resolve until we found a pregnancy girdle that would hold the pannus up. Thankfully my incision was tucked transversely under this massive pannus and not through it . . . The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
