Re: FETOFETAL TRANSFUSION SYNDROMFrom: José C. Ferreira (zec@inx.net)Sat Nov 22 08:11:50 1997
Kypros Nicolaides, Harry's Birthright Research Center for Fetal Nedicine, King's College School of Medicine, London. I've seen him performing the procedure, I think he is one of the world authorities in the field and he did perform the procedure in one of my patients. The outcome was the death of the smaller twinn about two weeks after the procedure and c-section of the other at 30-31 weeks because of severe oligohydramnios. But the best is to speak with him. He will explain everything to the patient too: the risks, the experimentalism, the success rates, etc. Jose Ferreira zec@inx.net Ob.-Gyn. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
