Dr.Ruben Quintero (USA) has tried to ligate umbilical cord by fetoscopy in several times. You can find a report of one of those cases in this reference:

"Brief report: umbilical cord ligation of an acardiac twin by fetoscopy at 19 weeks of gestation" New England Journal of Medicine 330:496-471 (Feb 17), 1994

There was another attempt to do the same in a twin pregnancy here in Santiago, but it was unsuccesful, because of PPROM. It is also published, but I can't recall reference.

Good luck,

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
