Several years ago two Las Vegas ob/gyn's had a "who can do the fastest hyst." bet and the winner (I think it was for 15 minutes, though I can't remember for sure) did his so fast he forgot an important thing or two and the woman bleed to death in recovery. Didn't look good (about the betting for fastest) when it got to court......guess who won? This is a true story, I can name names, it was a big news item for quite a while! The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
