The national health authority of Sweden updated it's recommendations in July 1997 (the old ones were from 1987) after reviewing the evidence. Threatening abortion (which should include signs of hematoma on US) in early pregnacy is still not regarded as an indication. On the contrary, the main novelties are that two former indications now are removed:

1) (complete) spontaneous abortion before 11 full weeks, if no exeresis is performed

2) medical (mifegyne) legal abortion (which is done up to c:a 9 weeks)

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
