What was the grade of the original tumor? As an aside, the myometrial invasion would make this a Stage IB cancer. >

Yes, I would excise it. I would also investigate for other sites of tumor (i.e., diaphragm bx, omentectomy, lymphadenectomy, etc.). If there is diffuse disease, I would treat with doxorubicin/cisplatin after debulking. If the tumor is isolated, abd XRT. Prognosis is going to be poor regardless of means of treatment, but debulking will probably be of some benefit. >

Explore and excise, search for primary.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
