The story goes that some years ago, an examinee was given a jar containing a bizarre specimen with a challenge to identify it. He carefully and thoughtfully peered at the jar contents from multiple perspectives. After a reasonable time, he looked at the examiner across the table while passing the jar in purposeful fashion back and forth between his hands. Then, on sudden impulse he threw the jar out an open nearby window in the unairconditioned room. He stood with the remark, "I have no idea what that damn thing was, but the next poor bastard won't have to worry about it." He then turned heel and left.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
