I would do a wet prep and if positive, treat the infection. If negative. do an annual pap. If the pathologist thought there was any possibility at all of any kind of dysplastic lesion, he would have invoked the GODDESS. That is right ASCUS. Since he didn't, I'll bet you are OK. If you are worried at all, call the pathologist and ask him what the hell he is talking about when he says inflammation.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
