Re: neonatal circumcisionFrom: Hugo D. Ribot Jr. (hribot@mindspring.com)Fri Oct 31 06:11:11 1997
Dr. Crawford: I notice in your reply you are a Mogen man (as I have been since learning circumcisions). Wear and tear is doing away with our Mogens and our nurses are desperate. I heard what I hope is an unsubstantiated rumor that the Mogen clamps are not available or no longer in production anymore. Can you please tell me where your hospital orders them from? BTW, here the ob docs do the circs. The one urologist and one of the peds used to, but they stopped almost 7 years ago, due to schedule conflicts. The other obs used to use GOMCOs, but I converted 'em all when they saw how quickly and bloodlessly they could do them with the Mogen. Thanks for any help. Hugo

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
