Depends. If the pt is cash pay or MediCal, my OB backup will do it in office one week after birth. Sometimes FP or Ped will do it in the hospital prior to discharge. Depends on insurance and who is caring for the baby. I don't do them, but I do know a CNM in SoCal who does.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
