When I entered the room with the nurse still in the room, the patient requested that I examine her without anyone present. I asked her why, and she said "I don't want a crowd". I explained to her that our policy is to have a nurse present with me, but the patient insisted to be examined alone, even when I offered to have another nurse present (maybe she didn't like the nurse). What would you have done?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
