Re: "Chaparone" To have or not to have? From: Len2976@aol.comMon Oct 27 19:14:01 1997
I personally have never had a chaparone with me when I saw patients. I have never felt the need. I have worked with many other CNMs and female MDs who do not use chaparones either. In most cases if staffing were available and my employee desired it, I would have no objections. I have, however, known some nurse-practicioners and MDs who have done so. Lenora McCall, CNM

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
