Re: "Chaparone" To have or not to have? From: Karen J. Bacon, RNC, WHNP (karennp@voyager.net)Sun Oct 26 14:40:01 1997
I do not use a chaperone. Neither does the other NP or two other female docs in my practice. Only the three males docs use them. I have never heard of a problem between a female pt. and female provider as yet in this community. When and if it happens, I'm sure things might change.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
