Be careful about assumptions ...... I offer all patients the option of a chaparone for there exams, I do not enforce it on them. My receptionist desk basically on the other side of the door from my exam room. She is available at a moments notice and a normal speaking voice is easily heard through the door. I have posters in the waiting room, in my office, and in all of the examining rooms stating that woman are encouraged to ask for a chaparone should they so desire. The choice is theirs. Some ask for one, many refuse.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
