<< One of our parous patients presented today with an 8 cm swelling in the
>anterior vaginal wall bulging out like a cystocoele onto the introitus. I had a similar presentation: anterior vaginal cyst present at term not noted previously (only 4cm though). Delivered fine past it. At anesthesia for PPTL cystoscopy revealed (and drained) urethral diverticulum. Was sent to the urologist who could not find neck at cystoscopy and advised her to return if symptomatic. She reappeared yesterday (four months postpartum) very symptomatic with 6-7 cm recurrence prolapsing like a large cystocele. Rocking it back and forth with the examining hand produced some urine and decreased size/symptoms but she's back to the urologist monday. Arthur Freeland Warrensburg Missouri
