Re: Vacuum vs. forcepsFrom: ATFSOCCER@aol.comSat Oct 4 22:49:06 1997
In a message dated 97-10-04 14:29:54 EDT, you write: << "In former years the ability to perform a difficult vaginal delivery was essential part of obstetric practice. In current practice one mark of a skilled obstetrician is the ability to avoid difficult vaginal delivery." Current O&G Diagnosis and Treatment, Lange, 1991, in the chapter on Operative Delivery by Hale and Danforth. el >> The future corollary to this may be " The mark of the modern physician is the ability to perform a c-section or a spontaneous vaginal birth". Please forgive the cynicism. Andy Folley MD FACOG Toledo OH

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
