I agree it sounds like a patent urachus. Several years ago, in the outpatient-imaging lab where I worked, the mammographer came out of the exam room with a quizzical look on her face. She explained that in taking the medical history, she asked if the woman had any discharge. Meaning any nipple discharge. She was taken back when the woman (in her 30s) said, "Only from my navel, like everyone." When the radiologist went in to talk to her, it turned out that the woman's mother had also had a discharge from the navel, so she thought it was normal. We did a sonogram and with a full bladder we could see a urachial cyst. Odd, but true!

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
