Absolutely, and I would supply that *IF* I thought you were truly interested. Oh but thanks for reminding me why I became a midwife instead of a doctor.

The last time we heard nearly those exact same words was, coincidentally, also from one advocating homeopathic remedies in obstetrics, but in that case an MD from India. My BS detectors just went into the red zone. To put it bluntly, if you do not produce your evidence (by which is meant published research in peer-reviewed, indexed journals, so that others can obtain and examine it), nobody is going to believe your claims. Now, maybe it doesn't bother you to be disbelieved. Maybe you don't care if anybody adopts the methods you espouse. But if that's the case, why did you suggest them in the first place? Your defense is akin to the "I'm going to take my football and go home" response of little kids on the playground. Isn't it interesting how the ducks that quack take flight when somebody mentions the word "evidence"?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
