Re: persistent HCGFrom: RModugno@aol.comSat Aug 30 12:40:26 1997
In a message dated 97-08-30 03:53:10 EDT, you write:
<< Geff,
The BHCG levels may not fall quickly after methotrexate. As long as there
is some steady decline and the pt is asymptomatic I might have continued to
follow her titers after the first dose. Now that you have given her a
second (and apprpriate for surface area) dose I would expect that the BHCG
levels would continue to decline. Check again on day 4 after this dose and
on day 7. Even if day 4 levels aren't down much, day 7 levels should be. Be
patient!

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
