Oh yes. Being suffering from the Swan-Morton syndrome, and doing a lot more vaginal hystectomies than resections I agree. However some women don't want an hysterectomy at once, or still want a pregnancy. Resection is a good first line weapon. I just tell them that an hysterectomy will be necessary in case of recurrence. And, thanks god, endometriosis is very frequent. Hysterectomy has a present and a future.
