We have a patient who came in today pregnant with a Progestasert IUD in place. 28 y/o G3P1Ab1 at 9 2/7 weeks by U/S String not visible Office attempt to remove it unsuccessful U/S confirms IUP and IUD located next to it What to do? Leave in place? Blind removal? Hysteroscopy? Steve

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
