Thanks for everyones input on this case.

I spoke with the young woman on the phone yesterday. Without her mother present, I asked her if she had any history of sexual abuse. She didn't remember anything... I then asked if there was anyone she knew she intensely disliked or was even afraid of... but wasn't sure why. She came up with a name immediately. Now perhaps we're on to something.

I am going to begin with the exam under anesthesia and follow up with counseling or hypnotherapy from there.
