I agree. I have found a unique 'technique' in discussing breastfeeding that I 'stole' from a colleague. I will ask a mother the following question:

"If there was a pill that you could give your baby that would reduce his infections, build his immunie system, reduce adult obesity, heart disease and diabetes,..." etc., etc. "...would you give it to him?"

Of course they say yes. Most know where I'm headed, when I say "Well, I just described what breastfeeding your baby can do". And its even more effective with the FOBs.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
